Just watch Roddick vs. Gasquet Wimbledon '07 if you think Gasquet can't "flick" a backhand.
That said, Federer clearly has the best slice backhand out there (maybe ever) so I would agree with you that his is the most versatile.

When Federer is playing well he is unstoppable cos his backhand is so solid. This year he hasnt played well on his backhand but when he does he will win the grand slams again
