NEW TECH and MATERIALS

EPS -US BLANKS EPS and MARKO FOAM PARABOLIC EPS: "Lighter, stronger, longer lasting, high performance custom shaped surfboards". The advantage of EPS core is the strength to weight ratio of the foam. We are using only MARKO and US BLANKS brand foam cores. They are the only brands on the market that are specifically molded for surfboards and proven to be the lightest, tightest and cleanest to shape. The water absorption when dinged is on par with a normal PU blank (meaning they no longer soak like a sponge after a ding). We work primarily with 2.1 lb foam, that's about as firm as PU, but much, much lighter, and are using combinations of 4,5 and 6 oz Glass per board combined with Greg Loher's Resin Research epoxy resins. These custom boards are as light as any "team glassed" PU, yet much stronger than any standard PU board of like weight. Nearly all the pro and top amateur competitors, we build board for, use them now in small surf.

FIBREFLEX: The FiberFlex Technology is a completely custom surfboard shaped out of a stringer less EPS core, with parabolic CARBON FIBER frame. It creates a board with a high energy and rapid spring back resulting in lively speed and drive. The EPS core, when combined with the parabolic carbon fiber frame and epoxy laminate, ensures a surfboard that will maintain it's liveliness for longer than a PU surfboard. The key to the flex pattern of the FiberFlex board is the parabolic carbon fiber frame, which is constructed within the board design. The carbon fiber frame is designed to maxize speed and drive while maintaining a flex pattern that flows with waves. The structural design of the frame minimizes twisting of the board, which results in a board that is less likely to snap and crease. The flex pattern of the board is very lively and responsive. You will feel the board responding to your surfing much quicker, whick results in more speed and drive when you need it.

XTR(Extruded Poly Styrene): Custom made trademarked technology surfboards that are incredibly light, white and very resistant to dents and dings. Absolutely no water absorption when dinged and they make a good travel board for that reason. Very popular custom order boards that float and paddle well and have a unique feel witha fast reflex and snap under your feet and a quick, responsive "lively" touch.

XTR - XTR PARABOLICK STRINGER, DUEL DENSITY CUSTOM SURFBOARDS(ETR PP/DD): A combination of 2.5 lb XTR (Extruded Poly Styrene) foam blank in the center with ultra high-density 3.5 lb "blue" extruded foam on the rails. The two foams are seperated by 3mm. wood stringers bent into a "parabolic" curve. An incredibly strong custom shaped board with superb flex properties. This construction eliminates tail cave ins and "rail cancer". Made custom to order in limited models.

TRADITIONAL PU/PE(Polyurethane foam/Polystyrene resins): Since the closure of Clark Foam in Dec 2005, PU Blanks have undergone a revolution of RnD. There are now stronger, lighter, livelier blanks, an array of new fiberglass weaves and glassing techniques that are netting us the best PU surfboard quality we have ever had. With all the hype on new materials and different technologies, the traditional PU boards are still the most popular we make and sell.

Surfers: Ryan Carlson, Chris Ward and Mason Ho.
