It's a bad business plan to sell to products or services to just black folks anyways. A TRUE free market capitalist will be flexible & learn to peddle his or her craft & wares to a wider audience.

  • Black people always provide reasons why success cannot be reached. Black people can be successful at small buisness. They just have to not listen to the "sky is falling syndrome" All successful people have to overcome obstacles. Skin color has nothing to do with solving these problems that come with striving for success. Like a successful blackman told me. Either you are going to make success happen or you are not. The thought process of black people is what holds then back.

  • Pink I am a thirty nine year old doctor. I have been in buisness for ten years. When I was getting started I would hear these comments from black people always telling me how hard things are b/c I am black. This video is the same old stuff. Black people just like you find so many reasons to fail. Maybe you should do a video on the benefits of being a successful and solving the problems that all successful people have to overcome.

  • I'm a black business owner and I can tell you that it's easier to get black people to buy from you than it is to get other nationalities to buy from you. However, its hard to get black folks to support each other. It's almost like you have to hide the fact that you're black in order to be successful... or you need to cater exclusively to black folks and hope that they buy from you.

Exactly, it's all about your mentality, everything else isn't as much a factor. If you're willing to put in the work required, then you'll reach your destination; it takes a lot of time, regardless of how well you think you have things planned out, moreover, the only real way to gain experience is to start your own business. Working for a company and starting your own business are two completely different things.

  • Oh yeah...no black female commentators. Just one more reason for me to underestimate their logic.

But then again, I am always willing to be proven wrong. Just haven't been proven wrong yet, at least not in a meaningful way that counts...

  • So true. For me, it all depends on the business that you are entering and your plan of action, but the most important thing that we don't talk about enough is your attuide. Your attuide determines everything. That is what really helped me the most.
