This is not the complete 74 movememts of the Lao jia. We call this the Lao jia 39 Form. It should take about 12 -15 minutes to perform this depending on the level of the students. As the 74 movements take about 25 minutes they are too long for a demo.
Most of my students learn this routine and then decide if they want to do the whole routine. Then we learn the middle bit, which is ommitted here.
Great vid. I'm interested as to when it was filmed. In other vids of the same form there is one move (after the 1st single whip) that he does once. In this he does it twice (which is also how I've been taught). Is this a recent change?

Great stuff! How long was this video before it was sped up?

Great video of the standard bearer of Chen Family style TJQ. CXW appears to be quite young in this vid. Nonetheless, this is one for the archives.

Few comments about this video? Why? Is it too excellent?
Watch that propagation of movement thru whole body! Look at the movement of feet with almost no jolt!
How many masters do that in their demos?
Thank you ccopas3 for so much to learn!
