So...9 trillion in red ink can be used as a source of alternative energy, McSamers??
Or maybe just another 4 trillion or so added on during his presidency, after all they are just some figures on a goddamned piece of paper, like our constitution.

That's TRUTH
The experience of the REPUBLICAN POWER BROKERS has brought us to where we are now.
Vote for change!

Why should the Obama camp attack spurious claims? What about the Americans living pay-check to pay-check? Someone has to pay for these wars and terrible trade deals (NAFTA is screwing our labor force while people like you profit from investing in companies that ship jobs overseas...and then you claim to be patriots...isn't that a bit hypocritical?) and I'd prefer it be the people who are wealthy enough to invest rather than the parent of a kid who gets top-ramen for dinner on the regular.

Sh*t, 1 last thing. Obama's windfall-tax borders on illegal, but definitely crosses into ludacris. Who's ever heard of retroactively raising taxes (esp. on specific companies)? How would one lawfully implement such a plan? Suing them for violating antitrust laws (if there is enough evidence) OR changing tax codes 4 the future would be lawful, but demanding extra money for selling in your territory sounds similar to racketeering to me. Not stupid politics, politicians counting on us being stupid

I will vote for Obama, but I wish he would commit to more outer-contintental offshore drilling (he has said he would permit some) and that he would commit to permitting more nuclear facilities (he has played the politician on that one and said that he would consider the option, but has yet to make it a part of his energy plan). Thank you for your honesty and intelligence, you are bettering the conservative brand. On the whole income tax thing, youtube "CNN Crunches Obama and McCain Tax Plans"

I think that Obama has a more robust plan for diversifying our fuel options and that McCain has a more robust plan for diversifying our energy options (in the long term only--Obama has plans that would help, though not all that much, in the short term). I could be wrong, but I have been paying attention...

First of all, I think that you are right. This seems like political gimmickery from both Obama and McCain. Most economists agreed that the proposed gas tax holiday would have had a small impact on fuel prices and that it would have been more like a subsidy for the oil industry than a "holiday" for consumers. And Obama's windfall-profits tax would likely cause fuel prices to go up because, as you allude to, the greedy oil executives aren't going to pay themselves less, just charge us more...
INCREASE U.S. DRILLING NOW.

Great ad. The mask is coming off and the joker will be exposed for the blind obamatrons to see, because everybody else is already tired of that fool prancing around as if he should be taken seriously.
