I agree with you bolt. I don't think it is the same. There seems to be a different spirit about the game then. Interesting, have no clue why though.

Those players were all good friends--EVERY player. The West Philadelphia students from 1939 were way ahead of their time. Although quite a few male WP students died during WWII, all of the members of the football team survived the conflict. Might have won it all that year had Gekoski not been injured.
