Dredging toxic mud from northeast corner of the Seaplane Lagoon at Alameda Point, the former Naval Air Station - Alameda. Contamination here and at the northwest corner of the lagoon was deposited from sewer outfalls. The scoop and move operation in this video is moving the material closer to the seawall where another scoop will transfer it into the drain and dry area in the background. The background area is sealed to capture water runoff. The dried soil will later be hauled away.
