Please join Capital Hearts for Japan for an evening to support the survivors of the tragic earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan on Friday, March 11. More than 450,000 people were displaced as entire cities collapsed during the earthquake, and over 20,000 are believed to be missing or dead. It is also estimated that over 100,000 children have been affected by the disaster.

OUR GOAL IS TO BRING OUT 1000 PEOPLE TO THIS EVENT. The Park has generously offered to donate $3 per person that comes to the event, so please spread the word.
Capital Hearts for Japan, a coalition of diverse organizations in the DC metro area, was formed to help provide immediate and long-term relief to our friends in Japan. We will be donating 100% of the proceeds to Save the Children, an international aid organization that provides emergency relief for children affected by disaster and devastation.

i live in ca. if we had an earthquake that big people would die from the earthquake. but with japan is the aftermath is killing people. it makes me so sad. it doesn't seem to ending for them and the effects may be felt for decades with the nuclear mess. my heart breaks for them daily. i am going to tell my family in DC about your fundraiser.
