Church of St. Francis Xavier (New York, NY) - Mass of Rededication

The Church of St. Francis Xavier (Manhattan) was renovated recently and rededicated on Saturday, June 19, 2010. Archbishop Timothy Dolan presided, with Archbishop Emeritus Cardinal Edward Egan and Jesuit Provincial Rev. David Ciancimino also in attendance.

This is so sad and tragic. The Catholic Church used to be so great with its Traditional Latin Mass and traditional Seven Sacraments. Today, it is a new Church with lay ministers, altar girls, communion in hand, a Protestantized hybrid liturgy with embarassing semi-secular hymns. Then there are the denuded church buildings, the dead high altars, the tables, the poorly designed vestments, the removal of Tabernacles. Vatican II did this to a once great Church. Tragic.

It is the Roman Church that has fallen into apostasy, sadly and tragically. So sad. Rome considers the Orthodox Church to be a valid sister Church, so you are wrong on two fronts. This parish is an example of the worst of the Novus Ordo.
