Alrighty, so I wanted to put up a lesson for a lick that would basically allow people to work on their legato accuracy since it has a string-skipping component. I think it's a cool lick and felt I just had to share it HAHA

Hope it helps people in some way, or turns you onto the technique of string skipping. I use it often and think it can be very useful for getting one's playing out of tight spots and create more intevallic passes as opposed to the scalar approaches we tend to take on the instrument.
The intro and outro were recorded to display how the lick can be used in a practical manner (albeit very fast) stacked up on top of a bunch of other licks!

  • Hey...this is FANTASTIC! I've just spent the last few weeks getting familiar with "Extended (Double) Pentatonics," and this fits in PERFECTLY!

I am a huge Buckethead fan, so this fits perfectly with him, Gilbert & Lane, as well!

  • Great man!! Glad you like it and that it helps you out!!! :)

  • Not only does it help me out, I REALLY APPRECIATE the way (method) you come across when you do your videos. You seem like a really down-to-Earth kinda dude, and it shows!

Also, I am SHOCKED that I am the only person to comment on this!

Keep doin' what your doin', Michael (or do you prefer Bernie?)....there are those of us out here who ABSOLUTELY APPRECIATE what you do!

THANK YOU for the sincere response! It means a LOT to me!!!

  • Bernie is fine heheh

As for the responses well, I try to get back to people as quickly as possible. I knew that if I were to get into making lessons on Youtube, I'd have to be dedicated to those that wanna learn what I post. To me, this means responding to every comment (if/where possible) and replying to every personal message about tabs or anything guitar-related in general! :)
