Man, leave the guy alone. He teaches how to do the job in the most cost effective way that he can. Not everyone has money for all these silly parts and when you depend on your car for work and stuff you need to get it done the most reliable and cheapest way possible.
This chap does it all. He explains well and clearly informs you of your options.
