    if the tie rod breaks, the whell can steer in every direction by itself. i think you could control your car with the wheel on the other side if you react with it fast but you have to tow your car away after this. so you should repair it before it cracks. after the repair of the tie rod you have to go to the repair shop to adjust the ?trace/track/vestige?. sorry for my bad english ;)
