  • Brother, I feel for you. I occasionally bale hay for a neighbour friend, and his field used to be an old cattle pasture - strewn with rocks about that size. I've caught the odd one, but my equipment is worth perhaps 1/3 of yours. I also agree with sbcsquarebale above: disengage the pto when troubleshooting - it's even easier to stumble and fall into it while splitting your concentration between the pto and the camera. my two cents

  • thats agreed for sure and i have since bought some different mounts so i dont have to hold the camera anymore... definitely a safety issue there when running equipment

  • What model john deere is it

  • it R a 4230

  • oh look its a pet rock sorry about that

  • ha ha I think Ill name it fluffy LMAO

  • What if you used the jack thats on the baler to prop the high side up and pull the rock out by hand? Could have saved the guards and what not.

  • you dont use starting fluid on a diesel.. its a pain in the ass when you have to tear the motor down like i did because someone used ether on my tractor

  • I don't want to preach, but arms, legs and lives get lost in un-guarded PTO shafts! Yes the guards are expensive for what is basically a plastic tube but how much would you pay for a new arm if you lost one? Stay safe.

  • dont worry about it stuff happends im 14 and bale hay iv hit a fence post that was on the ground and idk why your 4230 starts so hard i have the same tractor and i dont have that big of a problem starting mine in 50 degree weather i dont plug it in ethier

  • What do you thing, could it have been the hauling pin that lifted up that rock? Those green hogs are a bit low underneath aren't they.

  • hey man,i only just found out about your videos, but allready i subscribed, cause i love them!!

i myself am working on a farm here in the netherlands, and i am driving john deere tractors as well, and what i rally like about your vids is that they really show what a farmer is going through these days.

it's not just like what most people think, that you jump on the tractor in the morning, drive around a bit and make money that way, there's more to it. thanks for the vids man, hope to see more very soon..

  • that happened to us while we were pulling a deere 590 baler and man it sucked we ended up tearing the pick up off. so in other words i feel it man

  • @wagner59270 i luv these farming videos u do! can u do one of u using the combine and starting it up? if u have one that is! =)

  • how did the mower miss it? something that big would have to raise heck with it!

  • That happent to us but it was a smaller rock
