  • heavy horse--actually the money was re-diverted to another project in which they have been able to demonstrate several necessary technologies for long-term manned presence. The stuff works and I've seen it first hand! The first round of papers from the PISCES test site on Mauna Kea, HI are just starting to come out in various journals. Feel free to read up on "Phenomenology of Rocket Exhaust......" due out in Journal of Geophysical Research-Planets next month.

  • Truly impressive. Sadly, if Congress does not override Obama's plan to bring much of the NASA programs to a screeching halt, this is the closest we are going to get to the moon for a long time.
