  • Here's how to go from Absolute to Constitutional Monarchy.

First, you piss off the poor assholes and get a revolution going to start a republic. Then, you piss off the rich bastards to get a counterrevolution. When its all done, you should end up with a constitutional monarchy.

From here, you can maintain stability or you can piss off the assholes or bastards, thereby getting a republic or absolutism.

  • When I played as Sweden, I made it a constitutional monarchy because that is what it is today. I could have settled with a republic, but then I wouldn't have had access to the awesome-looking Swedish Lifeguard unit.

  • In theory, supreme legislative power is vested in the Queen-in-Parliament; in practice in modern times, real power is vested in the House of Commons, as the Sovereign generally acts on the advice of the Prime Minister, and the powers of the House of Lords have been limited.

  • It has been called "the mother of parliaments", its democratic institutions having set the standards for many democracies throughout the world, and the United Kingdom parliament is the largest Anglophone legislative body in the world.
