Also should mention low miles bout 85k and it has a g80 locking diff dunno if it could handle the power. Would be doin most of the work myself minus the fine tuning cause I moved from miami to bfe alabama and everything seems 20 years behind here lol

I just scored an overseas job and finally have money to build up my truck. I have an 2003 5.3 and want to boost it. Lookin to make about 500hp. I know the basics and have common sense but what am I lookin at spendin. I know I need a kit but what kind of engine work am I lookin at. Tranny work? I was just gonna get another sti but damn I love my chev lol. Thanx in advance for any info.

The new motor is in and running excellent fyi kyle. Lukes right, the second engine was a mistake on my part, and so was the first one probably.

The first one was the junk boost controller Im sure, nothing you did. It cant take that boost on pump gas. But you dropped the ball on the second one. lol

It only "blew up" once. It ate a piston. The second motor had water in it when he got it and he shouldnt have bothered putting it in, that one knocked. And number 3 we just put the cam in the other day, I dont think Justin put it in the truck yet.
