Dude is in his mothers basement... lol

Hahahaha, you wish! Nah, I seriously sat down one day and tried to complete it, but the thing was just too boring to me. I can see the potential nostalgia of it, but lasting impact has it not. For two-player Atari action, you need something that incites hatred of each other like Fishing Derby or something.

@KotLeopold Allright just tell the truth! You sucked at this game and still hold a grudge against it after all these years. I know it was not easy to complete this game till level Z so don't be ashamed, not everybody is cut out for this game. The Atari 2600 version is also the better one by the way.
Nah just kidding man ,just breaking your balls a little :-)

All who like this game must be conquered!

@KotLeopold Well i think you are a little bit out of line to bring my life in to this, which is great by the way! I just had a good time with this game and it brings back good old memories. I hope there nothing wrong with that?

Nice walk through of the game. Kind of hard to believe Atari 2600 was still making games in 1988 after Nintendo and the Sega Master System were out. If they could of made this game before those systems it probably would of been a lot bigger.

Great Game, Great Review. I don't recall that much flickering on my Version. Maybe it's a PAL/NTSC thing? It does flicker later on when you have DEATH as a enemy. But not as much as it is here. Oh Well.
Thanks for uploading. Let me know if you get to level Z.

hi,
Just found this game at my local "Game Craze". What is the character, a human candle?? don't get it. Y do ghosts turn into overweight Security Guards? This game goes nowhere!!!
Vanguard adaption (pretty good nowhere as good as the arcade game)i believe has a life bar.

this is 1 of the first games i've ever played in my life...

Yeah, Dandy was apparently the first, though I'm not sure of the release date on The Tower of Druaga, need to check that. But yes, correct. Have you played the 7800 version? It's so much better than this shite!
You might want to read up about the history of this title, you're learn why it looks similar to Gauntlet, and it's not why you thought.

Ahh
Ok so according to the interbutts:
Atari had a game series on the Atari 8-bit computers called Dandy which latter served as inspiration for Guantlet.
When Atari released the Atari 7800, they decided to release a Dandy game on it (Dark Chambers)
