GLaDOS writes to Celestia GLaDOS-IFIED version

EDIT: To all the people asking, I added the GLaDOS effect. She can't do that with her voice (she just speaks the lines very mechanically). It wasn't in the mic system. I did it using a program called Melodyne then only switched out the bits where she's speaking so everything else sounds normal. (Although the people asking probably won't be the ones reading the description anyway! XD)

Because, really, we all knew it had to be done.

@AveCelestia Nope, it's super expensive (Celemony's products are fairly narrowly targeted, so...). Fortunately I managed to get an old version incredibly cheaply off a friend.

Amusingly, newer versions don't work nearly as well for the GLaDOS effect because, even when you distort the voice this much, it sounds too natural!

I was trying to make the same effect in melodyne but your version is still better. MASTER! Hod did you do that? Can you make a video tutorial or something?

@Artek26PL I suppose I could, but there's already lots and I don't really do anything different. I guess the big thing is that you also need to go through after editing pitch modulation and formant and manually move the syllables up and down in pitch to match the particular way GLaDOS has of speaking. So, for example, you can hear from 0:45 - 0:51 or so that I dropped her voice substantially lower in pitch than the rest of it because that's what she tends to do for menacing/sarcastic dialogue.

Guys, notice that these video game voice actors reading letters to Celestia have something in common: they are from games created by Valve. Both GLaDOS from Portal and The Sniper from TF2 are copyrighted by Valve. Considering how well Valve and Gabe can be with collaborations with other markets, we may be able to expect something along the lines of "My Little Fortress: Teamwork is Magic" toys, or maybe even game modes that set classes to ponies that have lines from their real voice actors. XD
