  • I agree with what you're saying, but what about sociopaths and people who are born with no conscience? (And they do exist.)

  • @hopkins4545 There are people who are so far gone that they are highly unlikely to turn around. But still, if they really wanted to, they could.

  • @motherclarewatts I know what you're saying, and it has been known to happen, but a person like say John Wayne Gacy--who could kill someone and then eat a sandwich and not understand what they had done or why it was wrong--simply does not possess the apparatus to understand the appalling nature of their actions. This is unfortunate, a tragedy of nature, and the only thing I can put down honestly to Original Sin.

  • Thank you Mother Clare. I feel like living testimony to the truth of what you say: we/I/all of us can change and heal one day find that things we once took as inevitable parts of ourselves are simply gone... or at least on their way out. Such miracles do happen -

  • I can testify to what Mother Clare is saying! It is so possible to change, especially with a teacher (any of the priests and at Centers of Light around the country are excellent and I couldn't have done it without their loving help). Anything in you that you don't like can be changed and made more light and pure and loving and strong! Blessings on your way, N

  • World peace starts with inner peace. it starts from the inside out.

Inner peace means loving everybody unconditionally, without expecting anything in return. It means not judging people over religion, politics, or opinion. It means seeing life unbiased from all sides and angles.

It spreads out from one person to another to another to another like a subtle ripple effect. Love is the strongest force in the world. It comes from the heart and touches the heart.

  • We were discussing 'Transformation' at my temple this past weekend. It is very hope-inspiring to know that change is possible. I think that salvation is in the means of transformation. Thanks for this.
