1981 AMC Eagle SX/4 Sport in the junkyard

Found this in the junkyard today. Pretty good shape for being in the northeast and being 30 years old. Out of all the AMC Eagles, the liftback is probably the least ugly, and definitely the most sporty of the bunch. A book I have shows 17,000 liftback Spirits and Eagles made for '81, but doesn't break it down, so I don't know how many SX/4s were made, but probably not many. I've only ever seen one or two on the road in my lifetime. The kammback is a lot rarer, but waaaay too ugly.

Who knows, may be messed up mechanically or something. The reg sticker shows it was last on the road in 1997! I don't think it was sitting outside though, it's fairly clean for being off the road for 14 years.

please tell me where this junk yard is so I can go get the spoiler from the rear,,i have a chevy 350 powered amc spirit I need it for,,mine has a muncie 4 spped and 300 hp vette heads and mild cam and alumninum intake and 750 cfm quad and a amc 12 bolt 373 gears rearend,,its like riding a big motorcycle man,,haha,,siffen your neck up on take off or get it broke,,,hahaha,,,later

i would have bough and rescue that car. This car is so cool and the inline 6 has lots of torque and gets over 20mpg . Sporty looking 4x4, Jeep should bring this back.
