Only a fool believes in the purity of the market. We need leadership to point us in the right direction. Government needs to be more efficient but there is no other way. Time to wake up and read and think. The government needs to spend on infrastructure and to take over the health care problems.

I like Friedman, but some of his wordings are a bit too cutesy & sweet in this talk.

Thomas Friedman is a more pernicious influence on American public opinion than Limbaugh, Beck and Coulter combined.

The ignorant idiot Freidman still thinks big government Liberalism is the answer to America, which got us in this mess in the first place.

Also, he fetishises anecdotes in his books and articles. This is done to 'dumb down' everything into a nice little story but it's not clever and it is actually quite ugly and vulgar. The people who follow Friedman remind me of people who think TED is great. Intellect is a form of entertainment to them.
