Professor Mc Grath that was awesome. She is my teacher and i absolutely love learning from her.

hi how much do you charge an hour?

I have never before heard the player recite the text. Astonishing that you can do it!
As a non-Spanish speaker I would love to hear the music alone, but that doesn't detract from what you have achieved here.
Mario C-T was a hugely underestimated composer. I love his guitar music. Thank you for bringing some to us in such a lovely performance.

Muy bien - felicidades Lynn! Tambien la idea de narrar los textos mientras tocas es buena.
Saludos!

Good Mario (Castelnuovo-Tedesco), I do not know all of his music; but I am acquainted with a good amount of it (the best known, for the most part), and this is quite enough to get a feeling for the musician. What I know I call music by the meter (or the yard, in backward countries). I feel that this characterizes it perfectly. In my estimation, MC-T is 100% free of compositional talent.
Too bad, because "Platero y yo" is a wonderful book.

Thanks for your positive comments about my playing, Raul!
While MC-T was amazingly prolific (he had to be to survive...) and admittedly inconsistent, I believe that he composed some real gems (and over 100 works involving the guitar). I certainly don't love everything, but some (albeit not all) of the Platero is wonderfully constructed (I have analyzed it rather extensively) and shows a deep interpretation of the text that I think JR-J would have appreciated had he been alive to hear.

Yes, Berben (Italy) publishes Platero y yo in 4 volumes. This piece is in volume one. You can order it from Berben or from other distributers like Guitar Solo Publications in California. Enjoy!
