@alycat25 Yes, this is from the shore. I was at the "whale watching" viewpoint but I heard the folks sitting right at the lighthouse itself had an even better view. You do have to take a ferry to get to Orcas Island but I've found those to be very stable. Good luck!

That's awesome, is this like right on the shore? I know that I read you have to take a ferry to get there but I read you can see them from the shore and don't have to even get on a whale watch boat. (I'm hoping, as I MAY be ok on a ferry but on fishing boats/cruise ships I get seasick).
