He is not saying Fox News is alternative in an absolute sense, but rather that it provides an alternative to the overwhelmingly statist/socialist/left-wing/pr­ogressive media of NBC, NPR, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, ABC. Considering Europe: BBC, DR (in Denmark), STV (in Sweden) - all state-owned and pushing a very clear and obvious statist/left-wing agenda.

Everyone who has any knowledge / experience of the NHS ,knows it is grossly inefficient and chaotic which has led to massive abuses, and failures on a disproportionate scale , to the resources/ money made available to it by successive Govts. The issues are too many to cover. But , the 5th largest employer in the world serving a population of only 60 million. Still has amongst the worst survival rates in Europe for cancer and heart dis. Ordinary (NOT rich) Brits travelling abroad for safe care.

Once again the British have restored my hope for Democracy outside of the US. The UK should officially declare that the British isles are no longer in Europe and will now consider itself North American. You have more in common with Canada and the US then those knuckle-heads.

@Choros22 Insurance mandate exists in the Netherlands and Switzerland. Something that does not exist in Europe or other nation (out of North America) is the birthright citzenship even for children of illegal immigrants. Fiscal austerity in the 20s and 30s? Are you kidding?
