My old man drank Stroh's exclusively for a 10 year stretch.

Yeah they still make Stroh`s. However it`s now owned by the Pabst brewing company. Stroh`s decided to get out of the brewing business in 1999. It sold it`s labels to Pabst and Miller. One of the mistakes Stroh`s made was it took on too much debt. They tried to buy out every brewer that was going under. When they bought Schlitz they took on a huge debt, this got worse as time went on as they bought up many other companies as well. In the end they put themselves out of business.

Wow... this brings back memories. I loved the one where he tells Alex to get him and his friend a beer. You don't see him you just hear the fridge open and the clanking of the bottles and the bottles being opened, then you hear the dog dinking (lapping) and the guy goes "Alex you better be drinking your water!"
