This is my favorite of your multi solos. Keep it up man. I love your work!

most americans are retarded when it comes to percussion and rhythm, especially compared to so many other cultures around the world. i hope america sees more percussion like this.

I'm playing this for a contest tomorrow. It's wicked hard! Wish me luck!

Hi Casey,
I love this piece, I'm about to start working on it for my senior recital. I'm wondering, how do you have the pages laid out on your stand? Is it 1 above 2 on the left, 3 above 4 in the middle, and 5 above 6 on the right? Also, what would you recommend for a good metal plate? What you're using almost looks like a hihat cymbal to me. Is that right?

@taylorbelote Hi Taylor, yes I like to set the pages from top to bottom as you described. I feel the difficulty with reading big page layouts is not allowing your eyes to pull off your center of gravity. I've found there is less adjustment with the pages set like this. As far as a metal plate, anything with a good "clank". A short break drum or saw blade would do well. In this recording I'm using a heavy metal disc (not sure what it's originally from). I worry any cymbal may sound too thin
