This demo video illustrates the basic steps in using Acrylic-Werks Polish to restore the paint job on any car. In this case, this is an older model Ford pickup truck with a single stage paint job. (as opposed to newer cars that use a two stage (base coat/clear coat) paint job. You will notice that as the area is worked, the polishing cloth pulls up a lot of dead paint cells and contaminants. For demonstration purposes, we used a separate cloth for each application step to illustrate the sequence of getting down to the base coat of paint. You will notice that as we progress through each step, less and less dead paint/contaminants are being pulled off. While this was not an original paint job (the truck had been repainted in the past) it does illustrate the glossy finish that Acrylic-Werks Polish restores to an auto that has been parked outside for 10+ years.

  • That is what makes the product different from other products on the market. It is NOT like a wax, which provides a temporary shine to the painted surface. this restores the surface and applies a clear protective coating that can last (and I've seen it last) for over a year. This is actually a truck in my neighborhood. I will take a current picture to see what condition it is in a year later. (the owners don't really do anything with this (like washing it) so it should be interesting)

  • I've always thought my paint was "bleeding" my car is also red and every time I wash it more would come off. Hopefully this stuff works and save me $700+

  • @TheComplementor If that is the original paint job on your car, it certainly should not "bleed". If it is an aftermarket paint job, then there may be issues, depending on how it was applied, under what conditions, etc.

Acrylic-Werks gets your surface back to the original condition, so it may not help a "bad' paint job. (probably take more off of it!) Would suggest you go to the AW website and call our 800 number to discuss your particular issue.

  • It depends on the type and depth of the scratches. If you can "feel" the scratch, it is probably into the clearcoat or paint itself and this will not take those off. It will, in many instances, make them less visible. We do nt market this as a "scratch remover". If it is a transfer scratch (which would be a surface scratch where paint from another vehicle has rubbed off on your paint), this will do a very good job of getting that off.

  • @joseph- glad you liked the product so much and glad it worked out so well for you. There are so many crap-products out there they make all sorts of claims and fail miserably when it comes to real-life use. This ISN'T one of those products. The fact that it can be used on so many surfaces and lasts for a long time is why we think that once you try it, you'll never use anything else again.

  • @Peter24397 You can buy it at our website at acrylicwerks com Free shipping with an order of 2 bottles or more. We are working to get this into retail stores, but that is proving difficult.

  • where exactly can i buy this stuff? plz let me know thankyou :)

  • thats great..but.. how long will it stay looking like that after the oxidation is removed? In my experience a car like this can be polished to a shine, but will quickly fade and you have to constantly wax it.

  • The paint on this truck was "single stage." As with any single-stage paint job, none are exactly alike. Over the yrs, I have ran into many single-stage paint jobs that were very soft and gave up a lot of oxidized paint. In this instance, go by the reflection value and its clarity instead of what is coming off on the washcloth. To TheComplementor, can you post a photo of your auto? Is the paint original?

  • @old924s Please see our other video on minor scratch removal to see an example of the types of scratches that Acrylic-Werks will remove. It was on a black corvette. As posted above, we do not market this as a "scratch remover" but many times it will make them less visible. If the scratch is deep, there is nothing that I know of that will remove it. (including that stupid "pencil" marketed on TV that supposedly magically removes scratches. Sure it does.
