CARLINHOS BROWN is something like a superman of music. Controversial figure in the brazilian music scene nowadays, it´s impossible to talk only about his music (as a musician as well as a very demanded composer) and not mention his social engagements - mostly in his own favela of Candeal Pequeno in Salvador, where he started the music school and cultural association Pracatum.
I was in touch with him through some friends, and when i asked him to perform for me, the first idea was to do it in the barrio of Candeal. Being a (very) busy man, Carlinhos had only time to play one song, in his own studio. We did a few takes, this is the last one we kept, when the energy was just reaching its limit.
