Why do people think we can't be good or moral without god to tell us how? I'm an atheist. Its just common sense. I feel a strong sense of morality. I want to treat others the same way I want to be treated. I'm not 5 years old. Why do I need someone to tell me this?

I always feel very lucky to have been born in Canada instead of the US. As an atheist, its definitely easier to live here than it would be there. From what I've heard, you almost have to go into hiding if you're an atheist in America.

Morality is in the end just a matter of opinion anyway. By my standards most people, including a huge number of atheists are deeply immoral (And religious people nearly ALWAYS are even more so (with the exception of maybe Jains and types like that.)
People don't AGREE about morality, that's why we made laws. To keep a stable society in spite of that.

I think a better answer to christians who ask you how you can be good without their imaginary friend is 'I don't have to justify myself to you motherfucker.'
I mean seriously, who the fuck do they think they are? It's not like they are asking a question, they just want to berate you for not being like them and accepting their lies.

I'm so glad that the narrator/host was pretty much neutral the whole time, despite believing in a god.

YES! Atheism is rising. We are living in an important part of time.

We learn about the "Golden Rule", from ancient hinduism, which pre-dates christianity:D
