Has it occurred to you that babies don't carry around a mirror and therefore don't know what they look like? When their mom holds them, feeds them, and hugs them, they don't know anything but that is MOMMY. That is a mammal type instinct. In experiments, Rhesus monkeys that were isolated (with a wire frame shape with a bottle in it and soft cloth outside with a fake head to represent their mothers) and when frightened ran to it for protection and cuddled with it all the time while very young.

Bullock announced on April 28, 2010, that she had proceeded with plans to adopt a baby boy born in January 2010 in New Orleans. Bullock and James had begun an initial adoption process four years earlier. The child began living with them in January 2010, but they chose to keep the news private until after the Oscars in March 2010. However, given the couple's separation and then divorce, Bullock continued the adoption of the baby, named Louis Bardo Bullock, as a single parent.
