The Portland Art Museum presents Cyclepedia: Iconic Bicycle Design opening June 8, 2013. Drawn from the collection of Vienna-based designer and bike aficionado Michael Embacher, this special exhibition features some 40 bicycles as examples of pivotal moments in the evolution of bicycle design.

Dubbed "the vanguard of American cycling" by Bicycling Magazine, the city of Portland is the most appropriate, and only, American venue to host this exhibition. No other city in America has more cyclists per capita.

Related programming will include public workshops, tours and lectures showcasing Portland's internationally recognized community of bicycle designers and builders.
