SAN ONOFRE -- Two great white sharks have been spotted off the coast of San Onofre State Beach and a local man (Chuck Patterson) catches some great video.

Chuck Patterson, a professional "stand-up paddler" for Hobie stuck a camera to a pole and shot some incredible video earlier this week.

One of the sharks was estimated to be about nine feet long.

"The shark was kind of circling me and I was trying to figure out where it was because it was moving kind of quickly. I was hoping it would come closer to me and it does and then it disappeared. I was always trying to figure out where it was,"

  • everyone asking why he didn't have a reaction is because this a camera that you attach to your bored so he didn't know it was there

  • @draggon2100 Wrong.. he knew they were there, he was out paddle surfing when he and others spotted the sharks. He went home, got his camera, attached it to the end of his paddle, then went out intentionally to get this footage. P.S. It's "board" not "bored".

  • What I don't get is how that board supported him with the weight of those huge balls he has.

  • oh my god this guy is fucking insane what balls he has indeed! i would shit!

  • my biggest fear is duckdiving a big wave and bumping into a shark

  • Yes,Balls Of Steal!...Man ....speechless..

  • Were bit*

  • A GSW is a magnificent animal and as you can see from this video also can be very docile and curious. How many people wear bite by domestic dogs last year? These sharks really aren't interested in eatung humans, it's only when we present ourselves as one of their natural prey that they react

  • everytime i go under the water i can hear that damn shark playing the cello

  • After watching the first 10 seconds, I scrolled down to try to find comments like "I want the last minute of my life back" - After seeing the entire video, I am saying "Oh FU@% THAT!"

    Balls of steel.

  • wow. to think i go in the waters a couple of miles from there :P

  • Balls of triple roughened titanium reinforced with tempered steel casings.

  • @ChickaRenats You can die from toasters than you can from sharks. They wont attack unless provoked. Yeah they're scary but If you know sharks they wont really harm you.
