Because twin turboed hayabusa engines are pretty much given away at every street corner.

@WarlDogg All three 20V engines have the same part number for the crank, so only the rods are stronger internally. Which are cheap to change. Otherwise they are strong as each other.

@Samqdf rods only?

@WarlDogg rods only

@WarlDogg I don´t think there might have been any damage in the gze. The pistons are not high at all so the valves are probably ok. Anyways, there is something you can do with those pistons and the ST although I believe you have to ¨notch¨ the pistons in order for the vales not to hit. Not a 100% on that but i recomend you take a look at club4ag dot com ; They have the BEST info about the 4age in all its variants. Check out their reference section. Good luck and keep revin it!!

@sinner2208 Thanks good info, belt already snaped but will have it out and open it up. cheers

@WarlDogg The cams are exactly the same although they are not interchangeable. The difference in the BT and the ST head is that on the ST, the combustion chamber has the shape of a pentagon with rounded peaks. The BT´s combustion chamber is round all the way. It doesn´t have the shape of the valves position. You can use the BT pistons in the ST and have a small bump upin compression when used with a trd head gasket. I did it in mine and had good results. About the belt, check it!

@Gregkal123 my best spot to find goodies are forums and wreckers sometimes have some rear stuff to. just google your engine and town then read and read and you might find a bargain. I got a compleate gze c12 sc kit with a tdo4 turbo inlet and headers cooler piping gze head and internals microtech comp toda cams gears ect ect and some 2.25 exhaust and mufflers to chop up

@sinner2208 thought that was the case, is the valve lift ,cam duro the same ect, compression? maybe silver block with black top or is that a bad combo? 4 now ill stick to my red top and and unknown 4agze i picked up for a bargain. ps does snaped timming belt follow through and damage the head on 4a engines?
-
@WarlDogg yup... stronger Crank and striffer Rods. The Black top gets it´s 5 extra hp because of lightening of these parts and because it uses MAP instead of MAFS and also because it has 45mm throttle bodies instead of 42mm Throttle bodies that are found on the silvertop.
They are BOTH, excellent engines but, I would choose the ST over the BT just because of the better internals. You can always MAP a ST if you like N/A engines...
This comment has received too many negative votes show
should of had BMW's 3.2 i6 from M3 here instead of that lame TOYOTA van engine . It would of been the fastest thing around. If m3 gets from 0-60 in 4.6s then this thing with half the weigh will do it in 3.0.

Nice engine but heavier, longer and probably fairly tall with the VANOS on top so space would be tight in the svelt Striker chassis. 50:50 weight distribution would be upset as well so cheers for the comment but I'll stick to my "van engine" all the same!

quite impressive there, how big a throttle body/restrictor ring are you running with that charger unit?
have you seen the Lynx 306 gti6 kits? same charger on a 2.0 engine, restricted and on 10.8-1 they make about 250 bhp and 220 lbs, unrestricted and low comp they run over 400 with the same standard 167 bhp cams and head! a nicely linear delivery that suits a fwd, or a light RWD one like this :)

@welshpug
I didn't use an inlet restrictor as I felt the low end torque was already sufficient. The tuner that helped me was doing a Pug at the same time and they do indeed respond well to the Rotrex.
As for the throttle body it has 4 x 45mm individual throttles just as they come from Toyota. Plenty of flow potential.
