John Paradowski, organist, plays the "Rhapsody in Blue" by George Gershwin as transcribed for organ by Jesse Crawford in concert on May 15, 2011 at the Loyola Chapel in Chicago on the 70 rank Goulding and Wood Pipe Organ.
I had a little more fun with this video.

  • Only one thing missing...one very very important thing. You know what it is. It's what distinguishes the theater organ from the church organ.

    TREMULENTS!

Is there some kind of a law that says tremulents can't be used in church builds? I know that they were installed in a number of organs during the heyday of the theater organ. As one who plays theater organ music this sounds too bland. Jesse Crawford proved beyond a shadow of doubt that the tremulents give character and motion to the organ.

  • @paulj0557 - Believe me the Tremulants were on! :)

  • the star wipe at the end did it for me.
