Christian Persecution : Fr. Ragheed Ganni ( Martyr )

Marian, ( Mary ) song sung by Ragheed Aziz Ganni (20 January 1972, Mosul, Iraq - 3 June 2007, Mosul) was a Chaldean Catholic priest who was murdered together with subdeacons Basman Yousef Daud, Wahid Hanna Isho, and Gassan Isam Bidawed after the Sunday evening Eucharist at Mosul's Holy Spirit Chaldean Church.

At the time of his murder, Father Ganni was secretary to Paulos Faraj Rahho, the Archbishop of Mosul of the Chaldean Church, Iraq's largest Christian community. Rahho was murder only nine months after Ganni's death, in the same city of Mosul.

Father Ganni was ordained priest in Rome in October 2001 after studies at the Pontifical Irish College, where he had arrived in 1996 after completing an engineering degree at Mosul University. He returned to Iraq after the ousting of Saddam Hussein in 2003.

We muslims beleive that Issa (jesus) was one of the prophets sent by Allah (God) and Mohamed POPUH was last prophet so plz don't abuse any prophet, and don't say and bad words to them, you can beleive what u want, but the muslim religion is the last one and the white one, there will not be any other Religion and prophet thank you.

There is only one God and Mohammed is his Meesenger.

Not only have their been many other men pro porting to be the last "prophet" since mohammed founded his cult, namley joeseph smith and his Mormonism but Jesus himself warned us that where would be only false prophets after him. he never said there would be anyone else.

Can't you see that religion is shit? Judaism is derived from old race myths, and Christianity snatched Jewish stories for its own benefit. Then Islam came and made an even worse plagiarism of the two above.

Why is it that when a prophet appears in the world and gets followers it's always in the most illiterate parts of the world? If there is a god he must have been very smart not to send his prophets to China, which in those days could study evidence and be critical of bullshit.

I find it hard to understand why people use this place to argue about religion - we should respect the memory of a good man more honourably. Ragheed was one of the finest human beings I have ever met. Totally unforgettable for his warmth and openness, enthusiasm for life and joy. There was always a sense of being in the presence of someone special when you met with him. "The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church" - Tertullian d.220AD

Ragheed is truly a saint of our time.
