Dr. Satkirin warm up with crescent pose, one breath per movement (as much as is tolerated). Build core, leg, arm strength.

  • To increase the heat, heart rate, overall warmth- I take one breath with one movement. I hold a posture whenever- taking however many breathes- when it feels right. But inhale to expand, exhale to contract- when flowing, generally. In a 'held' posture, progress and expansion occur on the exhalation. "Pigeon"- melt heart forward on exhale and so on.

  • "One breath per movement" Good question- and a frequent one! I teach- inhalation when "expanding" and exhalation when "contracting". I frequently raise one leg while flowing into a standing posture during salutations. I inhale to raise, exhale to plant my foot up between my feet, inhale to rise up. Exhale to chaturanga, inhale up-dog, exhale down dog. One of these days I'll go and get a mic :)

  • I'm in love with you! Every second...

  • Great handstand!.I sprained my toe practicing them. They take some practice to get them in the proper alighnment. Thanks

  • Another great video - I always enjoy watching your work. You mention one breath per movement, but where do the "movements" begin and end? How many are there in this sequence? (It's probably a stupid question!)
