  • Awesome dude! When you buy new struts at an auto parts retailer, do they sometimes come with new springs as a kit?

  • @n310ea Not unless you buy 'quick struts'.

  • I'm having an issue with my 06 mustang GT. I just upgraded to Roush Stage 2 Suspension. It sounds like i am having the same issue you described at the begining of video 1. When i turn the wheel to the left, there is a popping noise from the strut. I heard it through the stethiscope at tire kingdom. This noise started after the new struts and springs were put on. It could be bearing, bushing s (lack of grease), or a defective strut mount. Would the whole top assembly need to be replaced?

  • @runstang22 Honestly I'm not sure on that set up as I've never installed that type so I don't know if they modified the assembly. Sometimes they sell the bearing separately and sometimes it's part of the upper assembly. You might consider posting this over at my forum as someone there might know.

  • Outstanding instruction. Helped a non-mechanical musician do the job himself on a 1988 Chrysler Lebaron Premium Convertible. Thanks, Eric!

  • @NoMoosic1 Now that's a classic ride. Thanks for the comment.

  • Good stuff. Thanks.

  • Don't you have to torque stuff down when the suspension is compressed?

  • Great video! Would replacing the front struts on a 96 Cadillac STS be basically the same?

  • is this a nissan maxima?

  • torque spec = however tight the air ratchet makes it ;)

  • @wiliscool Filthy mind.

  • you can buy struts with new springs in them already

  • thanks eric for the video , i think it's dangerous to do self without some experience better i use mechanic

  • Eric, I have a 2000 Chevy Impala 3.8, my car is making explosion sounds from the Muffler as well as bad smelling smoke coming from the muffler as well. It has been losing power also, I change EGR VALVE. I was wondering if you might have an idea how to fix the problem? Thanks!

  • "Everything goes together better with lubricants" :-P
