OMG i found out! he did a switching with another guy jus before the 'double' brought the easel over to the other side! the attention is focused on the easel, alloweing derren to swoop into the backstage and wear the monkey suit!

@TheUsedMagician ha... so you think he actually did all thoughs trick using 'hypnosis and mind control?' I admit Derren Brown do use persuasion techniques and hypnosis on his TV show, but everything in the 'Evening of Wonders' are magic tricks mixed with basic psychology. I do reaIize that my theory is stupid. But it was a sleight of hand. He somehow switched it in the last minute.

The box is a trick box which can show either 500 or 5000 pounds. Just before he took off the cover his hand linger on the top of the box and looked like it was pressing a button. This makes any necessary switch
