Chin up exercise is different from a pull up and it focuses more on your biceps. Many people do this incorrectly, learn to do a chin up the right way.

You put stress on your shoulders. The chinup is primarily a back/bicep exercise and like all back exercises, you should pull your shoulder blades back and down.
