omg my dog was just sprayed. he must have been hit hard because he's had two treatments already and needs a 3rd. these comments are hysterical. getting me through the gross smell. lol

yep dog just got sprayed about to try this my neighbor said this exact same mixture worked so i'm going to go do it... right after i get a clothes pen to put on my nose. lol

This mixture of hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and dishwashing liquid worked like a charm! Still having problems with my dog's breath. How long does it take for that to go away? What can I do to remove the smell from his mouth?

Best simple solution to get rid of skunk odour, forget the mix of hydrogen+baking soda, forget the pet store skunks, forget the tomato juice just wash your dog with plain old cheap TOOTHPASTE ( Colgate or Crest basic ). Works better less messy. I live in a restaurant disctrict with lots of garbage containers and overly populated by skunks, if you want to get rid of em just get a super soaker fill with vinegar and spray the bastards or where they hang around they are not stupid they will split!

@MaybeChrisRob ya man i was out walking my dog last night at a school in a field and all of a sudden this power full reek hit the air , i was like its a fucking skunk , and here comes my dog reeking big time . i rushed home and bathed her with all kinds of shampoo . her breath still reeks of the skunk

the reason why tomato juice doesnt work is because IT CONTAINS WATER. the sulfur thiols that contribute to the smell are exacerbated by water. this is why any remedy that contains WATER is ineffective at removing the smell.
