  • @piku844 I'm not quite sure what you're asking. The strip has been used many times, so you may have noticed that it wasn't perfectly straight before and after the demonstration. During the demonstration, only the part that gets heated will bend. Initially, I only heated the end of the strip, so only the end bent slightly. When the rest of the strip was heated, that part bent as well.

  • it becomes a little bent from the portion where it has not been heated.so there is a SLIGHT BEND now why should this happen?

  • @TANGOALPHAROMEO Yes, heating the strip causes it to bend; cooling it causes it to return to its original shape.

  • So, as the Bimetallic strip is heated, it bends and when it is cooled again, it straightens up??
