Went on the inaugural "LA Gang Tour" today with my son and our friends. Just google, "LA Gang Tours" to see what it is about. Quite an international media event with reporters from all over the world. Quite an awesome entrepreneurial event by some gracious and inspiring guys! Here is a clip from the one place they let us film, an amazing grafitti art park!

THE FIRST THIRD WORLD CITY IN THE UNITED STATES? WOW THESE PEOPLE ARE ACTING LIKE ANIMALS. THIS REMINDS OF SAFARI IN AFRICA. PEOPLE PAY MONEY TO TAKE A TOUR THROUGH A NEIGHBORHOOD TO SEE HOW THESE ANIMALS LIVE. YES I SAID ANIMALS. THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED AND DISGUSTED THAT PEOPLE ARE TAKING TOURS IN THEIR CITY/JUNGLE.

i got to go on the LA gang tour today , it was a bad ass experince for me. i got to know more about all the different gangs in LA streets. u might think that i dont know much about gang wars and there lives..i grew up all over Los Angeles county so i know how the streets are runned. take this tour first before u talk shit then if u dont like it, then u can talk ur shit. the people from the tour are very generous and greatful that u can come along on the ride. Help spread the word.L.A Gang Tours.

Act like an animal and you will be treated like an animal.

If you would take the time to look at their mission you would see that the money goes towards helping reformed gang members find jobs and services, and the tour helps promote a "cease-fire agreement" making the area safer for at least those hours. All tours are presented by reformed gang members, not ignorant people trying to showcase where they otherwise wouldn't live - they grew up there!

pretty sick...I lived in South Central in my youth and I would have payed anything to get out but now people are paying to get in? Wow, time to get a life and see that your money your paying to go on these tours are funding gangs in the area. Man whats next? Hey I know lets let outsiders into your homes you they can see how we live on food stamps and well fare..come on dont suport this...this aint no Zoo or DisneyLand this is real life and no one wants to show off how us "poor folks" are living.

The people in this neighborhood should be absolutely enraged that they are being treated like monkeys and other animals in a ZOO by these promoters. I cannot understand out they can allow themselves to be treated like freak show participants where strangers pay to get on a bus to stare at them like they were outer space retards. This is just disgusting.

If raising awareness is what this is about, then what would happen without the gangs? Out of business would happen. If the economy is base on gang style, where will it lead things?

they "let" you film there? its not like its a restricted area or anything. for the money they're asking, I'll drive a whole bus of people for a day around Compton and South Central, doors open, throwing gang signs out the windows to make it more fun.
