  • Words cannot describe this tragedy. Barry was my best friend and like a big brother to me. We were counselor and teacher team at Sierra Bible Camp in Canyondam Ca. He was an incredible person who gave his all in everything he did. He was a man with many talents and abilities. Barry, you will be missed by everyone who knew you. I will always treasure the baton you passed to me.

  • wasn't it 2008?

  • If I almost died doing something like this my wife would kill me!

  • @gman586 yep, fucked him right up!

  • Overwhelming video.

Can I just pull out one of my conflicting emotions/questions...and ask: What caused the crash...and what failed on the vehicle...if anything?

To me, it looks like the force would cause failure of human system...but did cage fail?

I'm just trying to understand from a technical position.

  • Barry, SBC with Dan was great. We talked a lot about you. Some many people

were thinking about you but didn't know what to say. Dan has taken over the hikes for the most part, which is great. We had a lot of the same kids this year and it was an exceptional week. I'm happy knowing you can see it all from above. I found myself thinking about you most of the time, and how well two strong willed guys could handle such energy filled kids :)

  • Barry, I find myself thinking about you everyday; and it feels like you are just gone somewhere but coming back. Sierra Bible Camp is coming up soon. I just know that now matter how excited I am about it, the reality that you are not going to show up(late :) is very real. I know I will be just as sad that day as the day you left. The good news is Dan is going to take your place and work with me. It will be a healing experience for both of us; but it wont make me forget how great you were.

  • Too many conflicting emotions to select just one, to post.
