In Peru every year minimum 15.000 Dolphins die illegal by the hand of poor people. The fishermen sell the meat as 'Chancho Marino' ("SEA-PIG"!) on the markets. This 52min.-Documentary is about Dolphins AND people in Peru who in a special way are a 'community of destiny'.
Watch for the Website www.mundoazul.org . This NGO is fighting a tremendous battle against this fact with unusual and sustainable solutions.
The film will be aired for the very first time in the german-french TV-program called "arte" on 24th of November 2007, 21.35h.
This program will be repeated right on the next day, Sun. 25th, 14.50h.

  • i was looking for the latest news about dead beached dolphins and found this video.# 15 000 dophins killed in PERU EACH YEAR??? THIS IS CRAZY!!!! NEVER LIKED THOSE PEOPLE THERE BUT THIS KIND OF NEWS IS SO DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @katiaengel1 In fact the problem increased since I finished the film. After an earthquake Peruvian people starved and killing of dolphins went on. Everybody watches Japan but killing dolphins there is legal (unfortunately). Nobody wants to see that killing dolphins in Peru is illegal but still go on for in fact about tenthousands of dolphins (also seals - for Chinese medicine market)...Uli

  • @gildefilm SORRY... my message was too long, here is the end: THIS IS WHERE I LIVE, CONTACT BRIGITTE BARDOT MAYBE?? She is very active to try to protect seals in CANADA.. She even wins some battles once in a while.. IF YOU THINK OF SOMETHING LET ME KNOW OK???

I'LL TRY TO FIND THE MOVIE YOU MENTION. THANKS FOR THE INFO AND HAVE A GREAT DAY

  • @katiaengel1 Dear Katia. Yes they slaughter the dolphins for food. Not all of them for themselves but also to sell it. Anyway they had alternatives but its easier to hunt the dolphins - so it starts very often. Watch for the complete documentary. If you can't find it ask me again. Or watch on my website: gildefilm d o t de. If you see any chance to contact BB - I would be ready to talk to her. Perhaps you can send her a link to the film. Where in France do you live? Good time - Uli
