  • i am gonna put a 91 supertigre on this plane. will it be underpowered?

  • @Fra42below I'd recommend a 1.20, won't be quite as aerobatic with a .91, don't think it'll be able to hang on the prop either.

  • @airbanshee .91 two stroke is kinda ok for this plane. i ve flown it 6 times now (my first glow plane) and it can handle some aerobatics. vertical climb is ok, not sure about the hover thing. it sure isnt a 3d plane.

  • @Fra42below I never put a .91 in this plane, it's always had a 1.20. It hover's good with the 1.20, but I never ended up trying any sort of 3D flying.

  • It can hover, never tried any real 3d aerobatics. I would think It could, lots of excess power, maybe next spring I'll try some. Hopefully I'll have the crash on video for everyone to see! lol

  • The engine was second hand and wasn't running great, was losing lots of power in the vertical. I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. It seems I could find a good mixture setting one flight and the next it was way out to lunch. It wasn't untill this spring when I decided to completely disassemble the engine that I figured it out. Somehow a small metal shaving had wedged itself into the carb where the fuel line attaches. This was restricting the fuel flow by about 25%. Runs 100% now.

  • @jcdpalya13 i built the plane trying to put everything as much forward as possible. I used a supertigre 2 stroke .91 and this engine balances the plane pretty well. battery, switches, servos, just push them towards the front of the plane. never checked the CG, i only know i was lucky to find a good setup right from the start. you can check my video of the maiden flight.

  • I have a seagull yak 54 120 os same as the video and was wondering where i should have the center of gravity because the maiden flight was flying horrible. If anyone could help me out with this problem or give me some input that would be great.

  • airbanshee can this plane hover and do 3d aerobatics
