  • the quality of your videos are very low, only 240p. Is it possible to make better quality?

    Otherwise a good tutorial. ;)

  • Cool video. Look forward to trying this.

  • Things you dont have time to do at a wedding.. so yhou better know this baby before you brin git to a gig..

  • I have just purchased my 5d MII and have an older speedlight... 430EX... It seems to fire and syncs ok but I have limited menu option as per these two videos. Is this flash compatible with the camera or should I upgrade?

  • I've got a 5DMkII, 580EXII & a 550EX. Will this system work as well or is the 550EX incompatible?

  • Does this work with a regular 580 EX Speedlight? I have one, and I have it hooked up to my Canon 5D MKII but I don't seem to have the same menu shown here... I'm assuming that's because my flash isn't compatible? The two other options in the "External SL Control" menu under Flash function settings say "This menu cannot be displayed, Incompatible flash or flash's power is turned off".

Also, if you only have 1 flash and it's not connected to the camera can it be triggered wirelessly?

  • Great Info - Thank-You...........

  • Excellent tutorial. I now want a 580ex 2 master flash!

  • Is your "C" Group another flash filling light in from overhead or are you using just an ordinary room overhead light and the metering is being proportioned to adjust for that?
