  • I also hope you take the time to look at the other music I've posted on youtube that I have written.

  • Thanks everyone, for the tips. This was 3 years ago, so I think my composing has improved since then as I've written some things for Vacation bible school. This was a sort of experimental piece, I guess you could say. The comments have been very interesting. I've composed a piece for piano that is quite a bit more challenging than this that I haven't written down yet. If at some point I would put it up on youtube, I'd invite come and listen to it.

    Thanks again!

  • The ending sucked.

  • @twinklestarz3

It would be more of an advantage to me if you expanded on why the ending was bad and explain on how it could be improved. Thank you for listening.

  • What do "Led." and the other symbol you use do? Those are the only articulations on the list I dont know, and ive used them, and i cant figure it out.

  • I didn't mean to remove your last comment! Anyway- the star looking thing, I think means to let the pedal up at that time. That's the way finale plays it, anyway! Hope this helps. :)

  • @KHJRizen sorry if I removed your comment. did not mean to. Thank you for the tips, read them in my inbox.

  • The music. BE THE MUSIC!

  • Wow, twinklestar are you freaking kidding me? Damn trolls lol. Anyway, this was good, but it lacked a desirable feeling. I mean, by all means this is good, but the main melody seems too vague. Right now, I'm making a Marimba/piano/flute piece that represents the kind of desirable feeling that I'm mentioning. It brings you in and holds you close, and you become one with the music. That's what you should aim for when creating your compositions. It sounds funny, but really, you have to be one with

  • I think this is "ok" nothing amazing, but it has potential. Fix the giant crescendos they are a little too out of control... you do not need them to have giant openings at the end, not necessary.

  • I wish I'd known that before. I made a few pieces with piano as lead, and If I'd known how to control the pedal I could have made them way more expressive.
