how to make a wireless transmitter in phun

in this tutorail im going to show you how to make a wireless transmitter in phun

step1:
open phun

step2:
file - new scene

step3:
make 2 boxes (dont copy, than it doesnt work)

step4:
make something to collide with them (i prefer gears)

step5:
make the gears turn (high speed, +inf strength)

step6:
make transmitting box onCollide code like this:
scene.boxy = text

step7:
make recieving box onCollide like this:
text = scene.boxy

step8:
run the sim and type something in the transmitting box

thats it!

you am insane I almost gave up at step 1, and if making the gears spin faster then that would count for a better transmission or what? and how exactly is this useful?

a couple of things:

1. this way of "transmitting" data isn't usefull anymore (slow, unstable)

2. it's just reading and writing a scene.my variable (writing at transmitter, reading at receiver)

3. making it turn faster isn't going to help, seeming the gear will slam away, and needs time to get back, which will make it slower.

4. the maximum update frequency for a scene.my variable is equal to sim.frequency

i have a question i downloaded phun and it like 38mbps or wa ever not much but i have fast computer and the software phun runs slow why? asap

try reinstalling windows/mac/linux...

it might sound silly, but it definetly helps...

if you want a less-drastic way, try using 16-bit textures and colors, don't anti-aliasing etc... maybe also delete the config file (maybe there's a bad setting), or even delete the logfile (but DO keep a copy of it).

otherwise, if it stil doesn't help, go to algoryx, or the manyfacturer of your pc/apple.
