Passing the car on front is a bit of an art, with all this new elements KERS and DRS passing an opponent has become a lot easier, or is it?? what are your thoughts? enough passing or not enought passing??

  • Wow why the frick does an american have so much to say about something he doesn't watch?

BTW. What he doesn't say is that the american races also use mirrors nowadays...

I don't get it, could someone explain the point of this video to me?

  • @Catchaontheflipsyde and what exactly makes you an expert??? are you a professional pilot are you an engineer?? at least the guy on the video was a former pilot and now a journalist covering F1 for more than 20 years!!

  • I dont like DRS and KERS.

    I want real F1.

Like, if you agree with me.

  • this is the biggest BS i have ever heard in my life. We would have dead drivers after the first Race. I like DRS and KERS, but i hate the stupid rules around them, if they could be used like in the Qualifings, i.e. everytime by everybody, then they would be great because skill would decide if you can hold your car on the track or not.

  • Is this vid for real ? as i loled when they said about the horn

  • KERS and DRS was to make F1 interesting to Americans

  • @carsismez06 yeah but carts don't go 300km/h + best example of why taking mirrors away is a stupid idea, just look at mark webbers pass on alonso at eau rouge in 2011, if alonso didn't have mirrors he could have turned in on webber at the wrong time causing a massive crash at one of the most dangerous high speed corners in the world.....

  • plop

  • @Catchaontheflipsyde It makes perfect sense. Kart racing is where most if not all of these drivers learned all of the racing fundamentals they implement today. Do karts have mirrors? No. Racers learn to defend without them by positioning their car correctly However, they have mirrors so they use those to defend their position by blocking, but if they didn't have mirrors, they would simply put their car on the defensive line, and hope it worked rather than block aggressively. It makes sense.

  • @alexandertrefz totally agree with you bro

  • @areufkingkiddingme The video doesn't make sense.

If F1 drivers don't have mirrors most races would end with a huge crash at the first corner.

And yes I am talking about American races cause this guy is glorifying NASCAR...right

  • @Catchaontheflipsyde You know what the video said made a lot of sense. Now, if you could just respond to what was said in the video instead of talking about what country he's from...

  • actually DRS and KERS is just a some challenge that bring in F1..so the competitors have to make a v8 engine actually slower than v10 or v12 but still a fast car with using that thing..so its just a challenge and more interesting than just make a fast engine...

  • The mirrors are also crucial for safety issues as well you numbnut.
