I actually think the argument has been poisoned entirely by the sad and unfortunate extreme popularity of the brutal and bloodthirsty jewish Abrahmic religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Had peaceful religions reigned in their place we atheists would have a far harder time making a case against religion. The facts however are that Christ insanity is the father of Communism and both sick jewish idealogies murdered more human beings than literally anything else. Abrahamic religion= bad.

That being said, in this debate, Christopher definitely articulates his side more effectively. That does not necessarily mean he is 100% right, though. I consider myself a secularist, but I do not consider myself a militant atheist. The issue of religion is nuanced.

Example of atheism being bad for the world: Russian Civil War, Bolshevism, U.S.S.R., Communist China

Examples of religion (basically Christianity because most militant atheists seem to enjoy attacking it the most) being bad for the world: The Crusades, Spanish Inquisition, Religious Wars of the 1500/1600s, imperialism, etc..

What am I saying? There is no one right side. The radical rationalists & the radical theists both make legitimate points, but they both also make themselves look foolish.
